Turkey Trotting and Weekend Fun
LOOONG Weekend!! We drove home Tuesday PM to skip the Thanksgiving traffic and had all day Wednesday in CT before the holiday. We slept in a little, enjoyed a quiet morning and then grabbed lunch at our favorite spot, Archie Moore's!

Wednesday night we went to my parents house to rest up for the Turkey Trot in Stratford the next morning. It was about 33 degrees, so not that cold compared to a few other years!
Ready to run!
Official and literal KICK off to the holiday season
One of the best parts of the run is seeing friends from high school, and usually my track coach Mr. Schulte ! It was so good to see him and catch up!
Friday, we went to pick out the Vollono family Christmas tree, and did some shopping. We went to Amato's to pick up toys for the kiddos in the family. The store is family owned and was opened in 1940. It has a lot of new, popular toys but is also a hobby shop so it has lots of trains. The entire downstairs is an exhibit of trains the family has built.

Grand central!
Scott loved seeing all the old train memorabilia. After lunch and shopping, we went back to the Vollonos to put up the tree, decorate and celebrate Nama's bday with the family!
